Uncommon Sense

"Do Come Children, Sing! Online Music Classes benefit my child more than live preschool music classes?"

There are a number of benefits to an online music class that cannot be had in a live music class. The most obvious is convenience. You do not have to meet someone else’s schedule, navigate inclement weather with tots and diaper bags, nor miss classes due to illness or travel. You can engage in music activities when you choose, sing in the privacy of your own home, tailor-make the class for your child, and make Come Children, Sing! portable with a CD or iPod.

The greater benefit of Come Children, Sing! Online Music Classes, however, is the unique music curriculum, which is based in research on music learning, developed over 25 years at the Come Children Sing Institute. The songs and activities of Come Children, Sing! were written specifically to meet the musical needs of the very young child, and have been recognized internationally for their artistry as well as their educational value. Your child is ready for far more sophisticated musical material than has traditionally been provided for young children at home, in daycare, preschool, or preschool music classes.

CCS Online Music Classes also provide for parents to become more involved in their child’s music development, making music activity as natural, as common, and as rich as reading to a child. Parents learn to nurture music learning as readily as they do language. The computer, CD’s and iPod serve like a “musical nanny,” always ready to assist as needed with songs and music activities. Music development becomes a regular part of childhood during the most important years for music learning.

The Come Children Sing Institute offered live music classes for little children for many years, developing and field-testing the unique curriculum that is now being offered only online. The computer offers advantages not available to earlier generations. It allows for the delivery of quality music instruction for less than half the price of regular preschool music classes. It provides for parents to individualize instruction to meet their child’s temperament and their own schedules. It provides constant access to music activities and information about the young child’s music development, and it makes the unique Come Children, Sing! music curriculum accessible to many more children.
